Willie Hunchuk 

1921 - 2001

Willie Hunchuk played Cymbaly & Electric Guitar with Willie Hunchuk & His Musical Caravan. WIllie ws born January 16, 1921. 

He began his musical career in Foam Lake Saskatchewan. He competed in dulcimer (Cymbale) competitions in Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Yorkton winning many trophies and gaining high recognition for his playing. 

Willie performed with such TV personalities as Gordie Tapp, Al Cherny and Ned Landry during his many appearances, recordings and radio and television work. Willie performed with many local groups including Cam Chernecki an his Orchestra. 

He will be remembered for his unique style on Tsymbaly - from polkas, waltzes kolomeykas to one of his favorite numbers, "In the Mood"
