Started playing accordion at age 12 in Andrew, Alberta

Took a few lessons from my music teacher and with the help of my Dad, I had a good start in learning to play Ukrainian Music.

Within a year, three friends and I started a Band called "The Golden Tones".

We competed successfully in Search for Talent Shows and also played for small social events.  We continued playing until we finished High School.

After taking some time off to complete my education, I once again started playing with a couple of local bands.  It was time to move on.

In 1991 my son Craig and I started our own band called The Prairie Rose Band.

During these years we played many wedding, anniversaries, graduation parties, and dances.

I was instrumental in organizing and promoting four recordings.

Over all, I enjoyed all my years of playing – especially with my son Craig, who plays saxophone.  We always had good band members which resulted in many fond memories over the years.

My only concern is “where have all the years gone to?”
