**  2015 Lifetime Achievement Award  **

Frank Pidruchny first took an interest in music as a young boy in school.  He bought his first guitar in 1942 at the age of sixteen and has been playing Ukrainian music ever since.  His musical career has spanned 73 years.  He plays the guitar, accordian, fiddle, steel guitar and drums.  Frank has played with many bands over the years such as “The Brush Cutters”, “The Dromereski Family”, “The Goldenairs”, “The Sunset Boys”, “The Beaver Creek Boys”, “The Mike Costilniuk Band”, “Prystupa and Company”, “Prairie Crocus” and with anyone who needed a fill in musician.

Frank has composed and recorded several polkas.  Some of his compositions include “Christine Polka”, “Songbird” and “Uncle Bill's Polka”.   He take great pleasure in sharing his love for music and has taught many people both young and old how to play.

While he no longer plays in a full time band, he enjoys playing Ukrainian old time music for seniors throughout the Interlake.  You can also still enjoy Frank's music at the monthly jams at the Fraserwood  Hotel where he plays his favourite instruments the fiddle and guitar.
