Sylvia started to play accordion with the "Meadowlarks" band from Two Hills, Alberta at the age of 11 years.  They played at weddings and al sort of community functions.

In 1977 Sylvia and her children Gary, Randy and Shelley started their own family band at which time her husband George named them "The Polka Ramblers".

The Polka Ramblers still perform traditional Ukrainian music as well as Country and Rock for your listening and dancing pleasure with the addition of her grandchildren Shaelyn and Travis.
