Victor Belinsky

Victor Belinsky was born in the Rhodes District in the RM of Ethelbert and learned to play guitar at the age of 10.  He was self taught and learned to play by ear and notes on a T. Eaton's guitar.

In 1959, he formed a  band in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba with Steve Myk, Lorne Robak and Walter Puchailo called the Rio Valley Buckaroos.  This band played at wedding, banquets, socials and were very popular at barn dances.

In 2007, Victor was asked to join Ed Wierbicki on Bass to produce a CD.  Throughout the years, since retirement, Victor has played with numerous musicians at Canada's National Ukrainian Festival Street Fair, Parade floats, Senior Centres and Personal Care Homes.

He continues to play guitar during his free time.
