Albert Billey started the band The Northern Kings in 1962 with his two brothers and two school buddies.  They performed hundreds of dances and wedding covering Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. 

The highlight of their career was playing the Malanka in Yellowknife N.W.T. for 25 consecutive year for the Yellowknife Ukrainian Dance Association.  They also played the Malanka in Red Deer Alberta for 29 consecutive years.

They produced 6 Albums in their career with the help of Ken Huculak of Heritage Records and they did 2 Records on their own.  They also produced 2 Albums with best friend Al Billey featuring 2 Dulcimers.  The Albums were called Dulcimer Magic and Duelling Dulcimers.

Albert did not think that there is a greater satisfaction in life then playing your music at a function and seeing the smiles on the peoples faces as they dance to your music.
